Biography of the author
Michael Lenson (1903-1971) is an American artist. Born in Ivano-Frankivsk region in a Jewish family. Emigrated with his family to the United States (1911). Studied at the National Academy of Design. At one of the exhibitions he received a grant for studying in London at the School "Slade School of Art" (1928). After graduating from school in London, I went to study in France, then to the Netherlands. Exhibited his works at art salons in Paris. Subsequently, he returned to the United States, lived and worked in New York. He completed many frescos, wrote about art in the newspaper The Newark. The artist's works are stored in collections of RISD, Maier, Johnson Museum at Collection, as well as collections of New York museums.
