Glyuk Gavrilo (1912-1983) is a Ukrainian painter, graphic artist. He was born in Sighet, Romania. He studied at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Budapest (1931-1933), the Moldavian Art School. Member of the Council of Moldova (1947). Member of the SHU (1954). Lived and worked in Uzhhorod (since 1947). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1963). Participant of regional, all-Ukrainian, all-Union, and world exhibitions - Uzhhorod, Kyiv, Moscow, Odesa, Warsaw, Venice, Brussels, New York, Mexico City, Paris, Finland, Spain (since 1946). For the painting "Lumberjacks" he was awarded a large silver medal at the World Exhibition in Brussels (1958). The author of genre paintings, still lifes, landscapes. The artist's works are in the DTG, National Museum of Ukraine and other museums and private collections around the world.
