Biography of the author
Shyshko Serhii (1911-1997) - Ukrainian painter. Born in Nosivka,Chernihiv region. His works are highly refined skill and flair. He studied at Kyiv Institute of Art (1929-1933) in studio under the direction of F. Krychevskyi, All-Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad (1936-1943) a teacher B. Johanson. Shyshko continued and developed in his works the tradition of classical Ukrainian landscape. Author of series of Kyiv landscapes and its suburbs. People's Artist of the USSR (1974). Winner of the Shevchenko State Prize (1982). Artists works are kept in Ukrainian museums and many museums abroad.
