Lyuboslav Hutsalyuk (1923-2003) was a Ukrainian expressionist painter. He was born in Lviv. He was wounded during the Second World War, a veteran of the Galicia division. He studied in the art studio of Edward Kozak in Berchtesgaden (Germany, 1946-1949). He emigrated to the USA (1949), where he studied at the Cooper Union School of Art in New York (1949-1954). A permanent participant in numerous group and personal exhibitions (since the 1950s) in the USA, Canada, and Europe. He was a member of Audubon Artists (USA), La Société des Artistes Indépendants de Paris and the Association of Ukrainian Artists in America. He was elected an honorary member of the Campanella Academy in Rome, which awarded him a silver medal for outstanding achievements in painting (1970). Died in New York in 2003.
