Kovalenko Yuri (1931-2004) - Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born in Pryluky, Chernihiv region. He studied at the Odessa Theatre and Art School (1952-1959). Graduated from Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (1965-1969) I. Korotkov, Y. Hovralevoyi. Member of the National Union of Artists. He taught at the Odessa Art School (1971-1981). He held 10 solo exhibitions in Odessa.. Participant in numerous national, regional and international exhibitions. Painting and sculptures are in US, Canada, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Israel, Germany.
