Author Biography
Karpushevsky Vasily Mikhailovich (1917-1990) – painter. Born in Kyiv. Graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1949). Teachers in the specialty – K. Trokhymenko, V. Kostetsky, G. Melikhov. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Works in the field of easel painting. Main works: “In the liberated village” (1959); “Spring Subbotnik” (1963); “Golden Autumn in the May Day Garden” (1967), etc. Participates in republican exhibitions since 1949. Awarded the Orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st and 2nd degrees, the Red Star, and medals. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
