Author Biography
Kashshay Anton (1921-1991) - Ukrainian painter. Born in Dobrynich, Transcarpathian region. He studied under J. Bokshay and A. Erdelyi (1931-1938). Honored Art Worker (1960). People's Artist of Ukraine(1964). Participated in many exhibitions (1947). He lived and worked in Uzhgorod. Kashshay made creative trip to Italy, Japan, Norway (1960-1980). Master of genre of landscape and still life. Works of the artist are in many private collections and museums, including the Tretyakov Gallery.
