Author Biography
Arkady Soroka (1924-2010) is a Ukrainian painter. Born in Vinnytsia. He studied at the Odesa State Art School named after M. Grekov (1937-1941) in L.Muchnyka, D.Kraineva, M.Shelyuty, to the Kharkiv Aviation School of Communication in Kokand. After demobilization, he lived in Vinnytsia and worked at the Art Fund, taught in art studios. Participant of many regional, republican and international exhibitions (since 1962). Member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine (since 1967), Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1980), People's Artist of Ukraine (since 2008). The artist's works are kept in art museums and private collections in Ukraine and Europe.
