Author Biography
Yurii Zorko (1937-2019) was a Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, watercolourist. He was born in Razdolnoye village, Prymorskyi Krai. He graduated from the Donetsk Art School of Designers. His teachers were V. Hladkyi, B. Stashevskyi. M. Hlushchenko and T. Yablonska managed to discern in the young artist an innate talent of a colourist with an original vision of the world around him. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1971). People's Artist of Ukraine (1999). The artist's works are kept in museums of Ukraine, Russia, Belarus; private collections in the USA and Europe. He initiated the creation of the creative group ‘Donetsk Plein Air’ at the local organisation of the NUAU (1999).
