Author Biography

Sulymenko Petro (1914-1996) - Ukrainian painter, landscape painter, author themed paintings. Honored Artist of Ukraine (1974). He studied at the Kyiv Institute of Art (1939-1947) O. Shovkunenko. Many traveled. The most significant canvases P. Sulymenka devoted to heroic feats sailors on the fronts of World War II and the time of the October Revolution. Husband of artist Z. Zatsepina. He lived and worked in Kyiv.
