Khmelnitsky Alexander (1924-1998) - Ukrainian painter. Born in Kharkiv. Graduated XXI (1953), where he studied under P.Kotov, M. Ribalchenko A. Lyubimskij, L. Chernov and Mikhail Shaposhnikov. Participants of the Second World War. Worked in easel and monumental painting. He participated in exhibitions republic (1951), Union (1955) Foreign (1954). Honored Artist of Ukraine (1967). Associate Professor (1970). He was awarded the Order of Glory II-nd degree and "Honor" Silver medals.
