Author Biography
Alisov Mikhail Alexandrovich (1859-1930) - landscape painter. Studied at Academy of Art (1887-1889) under Y. Clever. Worked in Feodosia led by Ivan Aivazovsky. Lived in Kharkov and in Crimea. Landscapes of M. Alisov reflect the nature of the Baltics, Crimea, Caucasus, Kharkiv. Alisov participated in exhibitions of Kharkov association of artists (1902-1914). His works are now in private collections in Europe and in many museums: in Chuguyivsk Art Memorial Museum named after I. Repin, in Sevastopol Art Museum and in others.
