Author Biography
Garkavenko Galina Ilinichna (1933-2008) - Ukrainian painter schedule. The first steps in the art made under the guidance of his grandfather - the artist Alexei Garkavenko graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. She graduated from Kyiv Art Institute (1959), department of graphics. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1964). Memorial Medal awarded to them. Kuindzhi A. (1973). Held a series of solo exhibitions in cities in Siberia and the Far East (1986). D. Thesis Garkavenko - a series of linocut "Kyiv" - received many positive reviews. There is an outstanding master of watercolor. The participant of numerous republican, union and international exhibitions (Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Spain, Canada, USA, etc.). The works are in museums and private galleries of Ukraine and foreign countries as well as in private collections.
