Author Biography
Joan Miró (1893-1983) - Spanish painter and graphic artist. Born in the city. Barcelona, Spain. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona (1907-1910). Entry to private art school Ghali. (1912). Arrived in Paris (1920), where he met P. Picasso. Solo exhibitions in Paris, New York, London (1930). He worked in a surreal manner and participated in exhibitions surrealists, but not officially considered himself a follower of this trend. Since mid-1940s began to create ceramic compositions.
