Author Biography
Morozova Liudmyla Nikolaevna (1907-1997) - Ukrainian artist. Born in Kiev. The first drawing lessons were taken at the private school A. Krueger-Prakhov. He studied at the Kiev Arts-Industrial School (1925-1927) and KHI (1928-1931) in the studio of F. Krichevsky. He debuted at the exhibition "Art of Soviet Ukraine" in Kharkiv (1936). As a daughter of a Riga German who was close to the encirclement of Hetman Skoropadsky, he was persecuted in the 1930s and was forced to leave Ukraine. In 1944 he got into displaced persons camps in Aschaffenburg and Berchtensgadeen. From 1951 to 1961 he lived in New York, where he worked as a Queensboro Sos art of Art figure and painting instructor. In emigration was considered the best representative of the Ukrainian school of impressionism. Member of the Association of Ukrainian Artists in America. He was fascinated by the culture and nature of Greece, where he lived and worked (1960-1980's). According to the will is buried in Kiev. Participant of almost 100 collective and personal exhibitions. Worked in different genres and techniques. The paintings are kept at the National Museum of Art, Museum of History of Kyiv, the Poltava Art Museum, private collections and museums of the USA, Greece and Germany.
