Author Biography
Peter Tereszczuk (1875-1963) - Viennese sculptor, a famous representative of "Viennese bronze" and the third third of the twentieth century. He was born in Vybudov on the territory of Galicia. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts (University of Applied Arts) in Vienna (1893-1899). He taught at Czech universities, after which he returned to Vienna and began his career as a sculptor in collaboration with the famous master W. Ulrich. The artist's easel and decorative works are characterized by the sentimentality of women and the psychology of childish images. He often combined bronze with ivory, keeping the maximum portrait resemblance to the models.
