On March 17, CCA "M17" will host an auction for the sale of objects of classical and contemporary art - CLASSIC & CONTEMPORARY ART.

Bidding is preceded by an open pre-auction exhibition, which will be held from 14 to 16 March 2015 at Kyiv, st. Antonovich, 102-104, Center for Contemporary Art "M17".

“This time we managed to put together an incredible and multifaceted collection, which we have been working on for over a year. Every Ukrainian collector and even a museum can dream of such a collection,” says Mikhail Vasilenko, co-owner of the Golden Section AD.

The block of classical art of the late 19th - first half of the 20th century will be represented by the works of Sergei Svetoslavsky, Stepan Kolesnikov, Nikolai Burachek, Erno Erb, Carlo Bossoli and other artists. The pearls of the classic block of the auction are three collection works by the world-famous avant-garde artist David Burliuk.

Soviet art at the auction and the exhibition will be presented by Ukrainian masters - Nikolay Glushchenko, Sergey Shishko, Joseph Bokshay, Adalbert Erdeli, Petr Stolyarenko, Valentina Tsvetkova.

Special attention in the collection of the auction is given to Ukrainian emigrant artists. Among the lots are the creations of Vasily Khmelyuk, David Vidgof, Mani Mavro, Vladimir Bobritsky.

Bidding will delight fans of the Ukrainian sixties. The top lots of this section are the work “Theater” (Master and Margarita) by Viktor Zaretsky and the rarest work by Grigory Gavrilenko in oil “Portrait of a Woman”.

Among the top lots of the Contemporary Art block: Oleg Golosiy “Prayer”, Alexander Gnilitsky “Sport”, Oleg Tistol “Project Money”, Marko Geiko “Still Life”, Alexander Zhivotkov “Portrait of a Woman”, Tiberiy Silvashi “Painting”, Nikolay Matsenko “Peninsula -2".

Collectors will also be able to purchase works by the most promising young Ukrainian artists - Artem Volokitin, Nazar Bilyk, Nikita Kravtsov, Mikhail Deyak, Roman Minin and others.

A total of 150 lots will be put up for auction.
