Author Biography
Sevruk Halyna (1929-2022) is a Ukrainian artist. She was born into the family of architect Sylvester Sevruk in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. She moved to Kyiv (1945). She took lessons from the artist G. Svitlitsky (1946). She studied at the Kyiv Art High School. T. Shevchenko (1947-1950). She graduated from the Faculty of Painting of the Kiev Art Institute (1951-1959). Participant in numerous personal and group exhibitions (since 1984). Prize named after V. Stus (1991), the award. A. Sheptytsky (1994), Honored Artist of Ukraine (2005). Lived and worked in Kyiv.
