"Pearls of Ukrainian art. Auction of rare masterpieces"

Kyiv auction house Goldens (4 Leonida Pervomaiskyi St.) presents a selection of rare works of Ukrainian collectible art, which were included in the collection of the 56th auction "Pearls of Ukrainian Art. Auction of rare masterpieces". The auction will be held from June 1 to 10 in the hall of the auction house and online on the organizer's website.

The auction selection of the current auction is not only of great collection and investment interest for connoisseurs, but also reflects a significant cross-section of Ukrainian art from the end of the 19th century to the present day, displaying selected masterpieces of significant representatives of various art schools and trends of this period. Many works reach the museum level in terms of their level of craftsmanship and their notoriety. The organizers of the auction have selected 50 unique works of classical and modern art, including large-scale paintings and graphics, and for the first time a block of collectible ceramic sculptures by famous Ukrainian artists of the 20th-21st centuries will be presented.

You can take part in the auction from June 1 to 10. Bidding will take place online on the website of the Goldens auction house (www.gs-art.com). The auction display of lots will take place in the hall of the auction house at the address: Kyiv, str. Leonid Pervomayskyi, 4.

Among the iconic works of the block of classical art, the work "Summer" by the cinema is presented at the auction. XIX century the unsurpassed landscape painter Volodymyr Menk; a delicate floral still life of Sofia Albinovska-Minkevich in a large format; the landscape "Willows in Spring" (1913) by the famous representative of the lyrical "Ukrainian impressionism" Vasyl Krychevskyi, as well as the work "Autumn" (1910s) by another famous landscape painter Mykola Burachek, who poetically depicted the nature of Ukraine in his paintings. The collection of the classical school of painting is complemented by the works of no less famous and iconic artists of the 20th century: Ivan Trush, Mykola Hlushchenko, Yosyp Bokshay, Serhiy Grigoriev, Volodymyr Patyk and others. Undoubted top lots of this block are the works of Serhii Shishko and Adalbert Erdely. "Park in Winter" (1958) by Serhiy Shyshka is a well-known work that was part of the "Kyiv Suite" cycle, was repeatedly exhibited at exhibitions during the author's lifetime, and was published in the album of the same name in 1987. Adalbert Erdely's early work "Landscape with a River" (1930s) belongs to the "Cézanne" period of the master, and according to the organizers, it is one of the most beautiful works of Erdely of that time.

Separately, it is worth noting a real find - the large-scale landscape of the outstanding painter Volodymyr Sydoruk "Lilac in the Botanical Garden" (1975). This view of the slopes of the Dnipro from the hills of the Botanical Garden, known to all Kyivans, comes to life in the artist's painting in all its majesty, showing a diverse palette of colors combined with the author's handwriting and painstaking detailing of Sydoruk.

Among the works of famous artists of the sixties, the work "Family" (1984) by the representative of naive painting Oles Semerny and the work "Oak" (1977) by the famous Ukrainian artist of decorative painting Marfa Tymchenko deserve attention.

Among the TOP lots of the auction, it is also worth noting the works of the block of contemporary art: "Evening Nebula" (2016) by the most expensive Ukrainian contemporary artist - Anatoly Kryvolap, "Artist and Model" (1989) by the famous artist and poet, representative of the New Wave, Les Podervyanskyi. Other significant representatives of modern art are presented with their exceptional works: Serhii Panych, Tiberii Silvashi, Roman Zhuk, Andriy Sagaidakovskyi, Valeriya Trubina, Mykola Kolomiets, Kyrylo Protsenko.

The work "Flowering Planet" (1985) by Ivan Marchuk, presented at the auction, is a real find for connoisseurs of the master's work, because it comes from Marchuk's rarest cycle - "Blooming" of 1976-1986.

For the first time, purely ceramic works will represent the sculpture block at the auction. Among them are sculptures and reliefs by Olga Rapai, Yuriy Ruban, Halyna Sevruk, Maria Galushko, covering the time period of the 1960s-1990s, and contemporary authors: Volodymyr Say, Nina Murashkina, Serhiy Makhno. Artistic ceramics occupy an intermediate position between painting and sculpture in the usual perception, combining plasticity of forms and the solution of color and textural problems, which distinguishes it from the background of other collectibles. And the decorative component makes it particularly attractive and relevant in the context of modern interior solutions. All works of the collection are artificial or limited and rare specimens.

The cultural heritage of Ukraine has not yet been fully explored and studied, moreover, many truly iconic works of famous artists have been kept in private collections or in museum vaults for years and are inaccessible to the general public. Such a landmark event as the auction of rare masterpieces, which are presented in one exhibition space, provides a unique opportunity not only for collectors, but also for art connoisseurs to trace the versatility, depth and professionalism of Ukrainian masters. It is also important to note that many of the artists presented at the auction have long been recognized in the world, which proves the fact that Ukrainian art did not emerge as a phenomenon, but was formed by generations of artists and has long been part of world culture.

Organizers of the auction "Pearls of Ukrainian art. Auction of rare masterpieces" invites everyone to join the auctions, which will take place from June 1 to 10 online at www.gs-art.com.
