Absentee bidding is a service for clients who, due to various reasons, cannot take part in the auction in person, or wish to make automatic bids up to their established maximum price.

• In order to place an absentee bid for the lot you are interested in, you need to log in to the site (link), by entering your personal account
• Go to the catalogue of the current auction, select a lot and click the “Make a bid” button, switch to the “Absentee bid” tab
• Select the maximum amount of the absentee bid from the drop-down list and click the “Confirm bid” button. The system will automatically make a starting bid or the next step (if there is already a bid on the lot) and will then automatically place bids on your behalf (unique client number) up to the selected maximum price of the absentee bid, in case other participants will participate in the auction for the lot.
• Please bear in mind that the selected maximum price of the Absentee bis is the hammer price. When choosing the maximum absentee bid amount, additional payments for the lot are not taken into account such as the commission fee of the auction house, tax and author’s fee, which are added to the winning “hammer price”. They can be viewed in advance, even before the bet is confirmed. To do this, select the amount of “Absentee bid” from the drop-down list and open the “Final cost of the lot” tab below. After you confirm the absentee bid, it will not be possible to cancel or decrease the absentee bid amount. You will only be able to increase it.

• In order to place an absentee bid for a lot by phone or in the exhibition hall during the auction, you must register to participate in the auction and provide your data. • We reserve the right to require a deposit in the amount of 20% of the amount of the absentee bid (in the event that the lot is sold at the above bid rate, the deposit will be fully refunded at the end of the auction). If you win, the deposit amount is considered an advance and is deducted from the invoice amount. In case you win and refuse to buy the lot, the security deposit is considered a fine for non-fulfilment of the rules for buying lots and is not refunded.
