Author Biography
Andriy Mentukh (1929-2025) was a Polish Ukrainian. He was born in the Lviv region. He moved to Poland in 1944. In Zakerzonia, he was commissioned to design the cover pages of underground publications. He graduated from the Institute of Arts in Gdańsk (1959), where he later worked at the Department of Painting (until 1990). He was an active participant in all-Polish vernissages abroad. His works were exhibited in Moscow, Bucharest, Sofia, St. Petersburg, Berlin, Pont-Levecq (France), Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Odesa, and Kyiv. He was awarded the V. Stus Prize. Since 1989 he has lived and worked in Ukraine.
