Author Biography
Vladimir Stadnik (1953-2020) is a Yakut artist. The period of sketches was spent on the banks of the rivers - Kolyma, Indigirka, Aldan, Vilyuyu, Irelyakh and Lena. His interest in the ethnography of the North gave way to a search for a formal reflection of the subconscious. In his works, the artist reflects the ethnicity of the people of the North and illustrates the Yakut epic. He has participated in many exhibitions in the former USSR and abroad. His works are in collections in Russia, Ukraine, the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Germany and Australia.
