Biography
Haim GLIKSBERG (1904-1970) is a Jewish artist. Born near Minsk. Graduated from Odessa Art School, for some time he studied in Moscow. Emigrated to Palestine (1925), later moved to Jerusalem, lived in Tel Aviv (since 1929). He wrote the landscapes of Israel. One of the founders of the Tel Aviv Association of Artists and Sculptors. He advised Mayor M. Dizengoff on the creation of the Tel Aviv City Museum (1931). He published a book on reproductions of his own paintings and drawings (1948) devoted to the Jewish poet H.-N. Bialik Fulfilled a number of portraits of famous Israeli figures. He was three times awarded the M. Dizengoff Award.
