Odaynyk Sergey (b. 1949) - Ukrainian artist, painter and teacher. Born in the city. Kyiv. He graduated from the School of Art. Shevchenko (1967); KDHI specialty "muralist" (1973), where he studied under T. Yablonskoyi. He graduated from the workshops of the USSR Academy of Arts under the direction of S. Grigoriev (1977). Member of the Artists' Union of the USSR and the Union of Artists (1977). Honored Artist of Ukraine (2002). A participant of Ukrainian art project "Ukrainians in the world" (2008-2009). The project represented prominent figures Ukraine, who played an important role in shaping world civilization. The artist wrote a series of portraits of famous personalities. Lecturer at the Department of Painting at the Kiev State Institute of Decorative and Applied Art and Design named after M. Boychuk. Participant-Union, Republican and group exhibitions (since 1971). His works are kept in National Art Museum of Ukraine, regional art museums, private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Works in the field of monumental and easel painting.
