Pressmane Joseph (1904-1967) - artist, a representative of the Prague painting school (École de Paris). He studied at the School of Fine Arts and the city of Warsaw. Arrives in Paris (1927) where he was impressed by the works of Cezanne and other masters. Got nationality France. He worked at the Academy of R. Ranson Bissières. Due to financial difficulties had to forge a painter. Meets known collector and philanthropist Zborivsky L. (1932), who bought many of his works. Often exhibited in Paris salons and gained considerable popularity; Baroness Alix de Rothschild supported him. After World War II participated in the creation of "Painters Witnesses of their Time" (1945). Critics Award (1951); first prize Byurlhe (Switzerland, 1952). Works are in numerous collections in France and abroad.
