Biography
Serhii Grigoriev (1918-1986) was a Russian painter. He studied at the Moscow State Art Institute named after V. Surikov (1939-1945) in S. Gerasimov and I. Grabar. The thesis was defended at the Kyiv Art Institute. Honored Artist of Russia. Winner of the Stalin Prize. Professor. Member of the Supreme Council of the USSR (since 1945). Taught at Moscow State University (1946-1957). The author of works on the topic of Soviet reality, socialist work. The artist's works are presented in the collections of the DTG, the Museum of Russian Art in Kyiv, the art museums of Rostov, Samarkand, and Voroshilovgrad.
