Biography
Basanets Petro Oleksiyovych (1926-2007) - painter, graphic artist. Graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1958) in the studio of K. Trokhymenko. Studied with V. Puzyrkov, V. Kostetsky. People's Artist of Ukraine. Member of the National Union of Artists. Veteran of World War II. Taught at the NAOMA at the Department of Painting (since 1961) and at the Department of Drawing (since 1972). Professor (1983).
