Biography
Angie Falqui (1913-1989) – French painter, sculptor. He received his artistic education at the Academy of Painting in Nice. He received a scholarship for study and creative work in Spain. Personal and group exhibitions in France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Ukraine, the USA (since 1957). He was actively involved in sculpture, in particular, he won a competition and his sculpture represented France in Brazil (1961). He received a state order from the Brazilian authorities and installed the 16-meter sculpture Solarius in Brazil (1967) and other sculptures around the country (Bosco House, 1968; Mercury, 1969; etc.). Together with the French Embassy, he organized exhibitions and cultural events in Brazil and France. The artist's works (paintings and sculptures) have been purchased by museums, art foundations, and cultural centers in Brazil and other countries. They are kept in private collections around the world.
