Zarubin Viktor Ivanovich (1866-1928) is a famous Ukrainian artist, landscape painter. He was born in Kharkiv. Graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Kharkiv University. At the beginning In the 1890s, he worked in E. Schrader's studio. From 1896 he studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in A. Kuindzhi. Received the title of artist (1898). Studied at the Academy of R. Julien in Paris (1893-1896). Exhibitor of the Paris Salons. Member of the Society of Russian Watercolorists and the Society of Mobile Art Exhibitions. Academician of the Academy of Arts (since 1909). He taught at the Drawing School of the Society for the Promotion of Arts in St. Petersburg (1905-1906), the Leningrad Art and Industrial Chilysh (1920s). He created landscapes with the inclusion of genre scenes. Works are kept in many museums and private collections of Ukraine and Europe.
