CHRISTMAS ART WEEKEND. Contemporary Art: collectible contemporary art with New Year's discounts
On December 19-20, 2014 Kyiv is looking forward to New Year's Eve art weekend with the sale of works by famous Ukrainian contemporary authors at special prices.
The main event of the weekend is the Christmas auction of contemporary art. CHRISTMAS ART WEEKEND will be held in two stages - a closed auction on December 19 and an open exhibition and sale on December 20.
The organizers of the art weekend are the Golden Section auction house and the marketing company FEDORIV.
The venue is the modern art space FEDORIV Hub (Arena City).
Address: Kyiv, st. Velyka Vasylkivska 5 (Arena City), 5th floor, FEDORIV Hub (office 27). Entrance opposite the nightclub SKYBAR.
Art Weekend guests will have the opportunity to purchase works by famous contemporary authors at a 30-60% discount. In total, about 50 works of contemporary art and design will be presented. During the auction and exhibition, fans of the Kyiv artist Ilya Chichkan will be able to buy his creation for only 3 thousand dollars, while the average market value of the works of this author is now 6-8 thousand dollars.
“This is a unique chance to purchase works by famous young contemporary artists at affordable prices. We are talking about an investment that will bring dividends not sometime in the future, but right now,” emphasizes Mikhail Vasilenko, co-owner of the Golden Section auction house.
It is planned that the auction will be visited by more than 300 potential buyers.
“Together with our partners FEDORIV, the day after the auction, we are organizing an open art fair of professional art and design objects for everyone. This is an opportunity not only to admire the works of eminent and young contemporary authors, but also to purchase worthy gifts for friends, relatives, business partners at reasonable prices,” emphasizes Aleksey Vasilenko, co-owner of the Golden Section auction house.
