
UKRAINIAN PAINTING AND GRAPHICS XX-XXI CC.
February 24, 2011 "Golden Section" opens the spring season of the pre-auction exhibition of classical Ukrainian painting. The auction collection contains 150 paintings and graphics by all the key authors of the 20th century, including high-quality museum-level works.
Among the TOP lots of the auction are the works of Nikolay Glushchenko, Sergey Shishko, Petr Stolyarenko, Tatyana Yablonskaya, Viktor Zaretsky and Maria Primachenko.
The works presented at the auction come from closed private collections and are put up for auction for the first time. The exhibition will be of interest not only to collectors, but also to art historians and experts, since most of the works have never been exhibited publicly before.
In addition, for the first time, a collection of Ukrainian graphics will be presented at the auction, which includes about 40 works made in various techniques on paper and cardboard by such iconic Ukrainian artists of the twentieth century as Viktor Zaretsky, Sergey and Igor Grigoriev, Mikhail Deregus, Nikolay Glushchenko, Vasily Kasyan , Mikhail Turovsky, Alla Gorskaya, Yakov Basov and others.
The closed presentation of the collection will take place on February 24 at 19.00. Entrance by invitation.

The exhibition is open to the public from February 25 to March 4 in the premises of the Center for Contemporary Art "M17" (Kyiv, Gorkogo St., 104, from 10:00 to 20:00, admission is free).
