Ukrainian classical art of the XX century
Collectible works by Burliuk, Trush, Shapiro, Khmelyuk, Glushchenko, Shishko, Bokshay, Lomykin, Zaretsky and many other famous Ukrainian classics of the 20th century will be put up for sale in Kyiv
From 12 to 28 December in the exposition hall of the auction house "Golden Section" (Kyiv, Pervomayskogo str., 4) will host an exhibition and sale "Ukrainian classical art of the twentieth century."
The organizer is the auction house "Golden Section". Entrance for everyone is free.
The exposition presents more than 45 rare collectible paintings and drawings, which can be purchased directly from the exhibition.
Among them are the works of the most famous Ukrainian classical artists of the 20th century: Ivan Trush, Vasily Khmelyuk, David Burliuk, Jacques Shapiro, Nikolay Glushchenko, Sergei Shishko, Joseph Bokshay, Konstantin Lomykin, Vladimir Singaevsky, Pavel Horobets, Fyodor Zakharov, Petr Stolyarenko, Valentina Tsvetkova, Viktor Zaretsky, Maria Primachenko, Yuri Khimich and many other eminent artists.
The rare and main works of the exposition are: 2 works by David Burliuk "Rural Scene" and "Surrealistic composition with a fish-headed woman", made in the 1950s, an early work of the famous Ukrainian emigrant Vasily Khmelyuk "Pheasant" (1930s), a large-scale masterpiece "Vesnyanka" (1969) by Vladimir Singaevsky, two works "In the New Kakhovka" (1952) and "Sunflowers and Mallows" (1969) by the best realistic painter of Ukraine in the middle of the 20th century - Sergei Shishko. It is also worth noting the work of two more Kyiv luminaries - the impressionistic still life "Wildflowers" (1969) by Nikolai Glushchenko and "Landscape Alley" (1986) by Tatyana Yablonskaya. The Transcarpathian block of the exposition is represented by two excellent works of one of the founders of the Transcarpathian art school - Joseph Bokshay - "The Uzhok River" (1935) and "Lake Synevyr" (1954) as well as landscapes by G. Gluck, F. Manaylo, Yu. Gerts, V. Gabda and still lifes by A. Boretsky. Representatives of Odessa at the exhibition are famous artists Konstantin Lomykin and Leonid Muchnik with the works "Still Life with Violets and a Plaster Figure" (1980s) and "Two on the Shore" (1959). Among the graphic masterpieces are two major works by Yuri Khimich and Maria Primachenko.
