The Transcarpathian school is represented in the selection by the works of Josip Bokshai, Adalbert Erdeli, Fedor Manayl, Andriy Kotska, Adalbert Boretsky and Ferenc Seman, who combine European education with national tradition. Lviv is represented by the works of Oleg Minko, Mykhailo Lishchyner, Odesa – by the works of Yuriy Yegorov, Konstantin Lomykin, Valentin Khrushch, Crimea – by the still life of Valentina Tsvetkova, the Kyiv school – by the works of Fedor Konovalyuk, Volodymyr Synhayevsky, Serhiy Shyshko.
The generation of the “sixties” sounds in the works of Viktor Zaretsky, Alla Horska, Igor Grigoriev, Anatoly Lymarev, Viktor Grigoriev, Vudon Baklytsky – artists who combined academic skill with the search for new imagery. The block of classical Ukrainian art is occupied by landscapes by Hryhoriy Svitlytskyi, Stepan Kolesnikov and Petro Levchenko, Serhiy Shyshko, Pavlo Horobets. A special place is occupied by works by Abram Manevych, David Burliuk, Vasyl Khmelyuk, Lyuboslav Gutsalyuk, Hryhoriy Kruk, Oleksiy Hryshchenko, whose works integrate Ukrainian culture into the world artistic context, as well as by Maria Prymachenko and Ivan Marchuk, who continue to break auction records and represent Ukrainian culture in the world.
The top lots of the current auction were rare works: "Ukrainian Night" (1917) by Hryhoriy Svitlytsky, "Orchard" (1910s) by Abram Manevych, "Blooming Magnolia" (1930s) by Adalbert Erdeli, "In the Cafe" (1964) by Igor Grigoriev, "Flower Dance" (1960s) by Alla Horska, "Motherhood" (1984-1985) by Anatoly Lymarev, "Hutsulka with a Rooster" (1967) and "By the Window" (1969) by Mykola Glushchenko, "Eyes of Autumn" (1985) by Viktor Zaretsky, "Moonlit Night" (1980) by Ivan Marchuk, the sculpture "Football" (1983) by Oleg Kostkevych, "Girl with a Ball" (1998) by Yuri Yegorov.
Anniversary auction No. 70 "Ukrainian Collectible Art" showcases a wide selection of unique works of Ukrainian art of the 20th century.
