Exhibition "Hypostasis of Olexander Sukholit. Sculpture. Graphics. Painting" in the auction house "Golden Section"

An exhibition of the famous Ukrainian sculptor and artist Oleksandr Sukholit opens on December 16 at the Golden Section auction house.

Olexander Sukholit’s name is inscribed in encyclopedias, art catalogs and art collections. Immediately after graduating from the Kyiv Art Institute (NAOMA), his work "Motherhood" (1986) was purchased by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and transferred to the funds of the National Art Museum of Ukraine. And in 1988, this sculpture was selected to participate in an art exhibition in the United States. After that, one after another international exhibitions and projects began: in Moscow, Denmark (sculptural art residence in the framework of cultural cooperation between Kiev and Odense), France, Japan (special prize at the international mini-print competition TAMA ART UNIVERSITY) and other countries. His works are stored in private collections in Ukraine, Europe and America, as well as in public and private museums in Ukraine and Europe. In the art center "Chocolate House" of the National Museum "Kyiv Art Gallery" since 2019 there is a permanent exhibition of works by Olexander Sukholit.

Sukholit's sculptural and pictorial works are devoted to the theme of man and the complex philosophical and ethical search for form and content. Experts note different periods in the work of O. Sukholit, among which the archaic stands out. All works are marked by a distinct author's style, "Sukholit's line" and space, which is filled with all works of the author without exception.

At the exhibition "Hypostasis of Olexander Sukholit" you can see the works of different periods of the author's work created in different arts - sculpture, graphics and painting.

The original result of the exhibition will be the catalog of Alexander Sukholit, which will include articles and works presented at the exhibition.
