Author Biography
Akim Levich (b. 1933) - Ukrainian artist, illustrator. Born in Kamenetz-Podolsk. He studied at Kyiv Art school. Graduated Academy of Arts and Architecture, where he studied under S. Grigoriev (1960). Representative of Ukrainian underground movement. Member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists (since 1967). Participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. Illustrated book "Elecampane" (L. Lyashenko, 1969) and "Lasochka" (G. Tyutyunyka, 1970). Autor of monument "Menorah" Babi Yar in Kiev in collaboration with Y. Paskevich and O. Levich (1991). Artist's works are kept in museums in Ukraine and abroad, in private collections of collectors around the world.
