Author Biography
Olga Petrova (born 1942) - Ukrainian artist, art critic, doctor of philosophical sciences. Born in with Chervonogvardiysk, Sverdlovsk region Graduated from the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute. I. Fedorova (1967) by G. Hizhnyak and M. Ivanov; Postgraduate study at the Institute of Art History of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR in Moscow (1974). Member of the NSCU (since 1986). Professor at the National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" and Institute for Contemporary Art. Works as an artist, historian and critic of art (author of 5 monographs and 800 articles). Her creative method as an artist is expressionism, metaphorism, non-figurativism. The works are stored in the collections of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, NSChU, art museums of Chernivtsi, Chernigov, Khmelnytsky, the National Museum in Lviv, the National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kiev), the Museum of Arts of Georgia, the gallery "Sitrakut" (Calcutta), the Museum Yad Vashem Jerusalem), libraries of the British Museum (London), Muse Art Center "Osaka", galleries and private collections of Kyiv, Moscow, London, Nottingham, Amsterdam, Calcutta, Toronto, Budapest, Osaka.
