Russian icon. Pre-auction exhibition will be held from 19 to 25 September in the Kyiv art gallery "Lavra" at I. Mazepa, 17 (January Uprising).

The exhibition will feature 160 works of painting and graphics by Ukrainian artists of the Soviet and independent periods, as well as almost two dozen icons of the most famous Russian icon-painting centers, painted from the 18th to the beginning of the 20th century, which are of great collection value for collectors.

The organizers of the auction set themselves the task of presenting all the picturesque Ukrainian centers with the first names as much as possible, and the quality of the paintings was primarily responsible for the basic selection of items for the auction. For example, the Crimean school is represented by the works of such masters as: V. Tsvetkov, F. Zakharov, P. Stolyarenko, Ya. Basov, A. Sukhorukikh, P. Miroshnichenko and others.

The Odessa school is represented by its nonconformists of the 1960-1980s as very interesting, relevant and sought-after artists on the art market, among them: A.Anufriev, V.Khrushch, S.Sychev, V.Basanets, D.Tikholuz, L.Dyulfan, A. Lisovsky, V. Geghamyan, Y. Pliss, E. Rakhmanin, O. Sokolov. Also, a separate layer of the Odessa string is made up of the classics of Soviet painting: Yu. Egorov, K. Lomykin, N. Shelyuto, V. Vlasov, A. Atsmanchuk, O. Sleshinsky, A. Gavdzinsky, V. Strelnikov.

The Transcarpathian school is fundamentally different from other art centers with its juicy, bright colors and predominantly mountainous landscapes. The basis of the collection of this region was a large collection of one Ukrainian collector. The founders of the Transcarpathian school: A.Erdeli and Y.Bokshay and their no less famous contemporaries and students - A.Kotska, F.Manaylo, G.Gluk, A.Boretsky, E.Kontratovych, A.Kashshay, Z .Sholtes, A.Marton, F.Seman, K.Yakubek.

The Eastern region is shown by representatives of Poltava, Kharkov, Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk. These are the authors whose names are already inscribed in the history of Ukrainian painting - P. Gorobets, A. Filbert, V. Chaus, as well as newly discovered, talented and promising artists - V. Bauer and G. Tyshkevich.

The selection of the Lviv school, presented by recognized masters O. Novakivsky, R. Selsky, M. Moroz, V. Patyk and V. Miller, looks strong.

Finally, it is worth mentioning the central picturesque center - Kyiv. The Kiev school is represented very widely: N. Glushchenko, Tatyana and Elena Yablonsky, S. Shishko, K. Trokhimenko, S. Grigoriev, V. Chegodar, F. Konovalyuk, V. Zaretsky, B. Rapoport, L. Chichkan, S. Koshevoy and many others.
