Author Biography
Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) - German painter and graphic artist, one of the greatest masters of Western European Renaissance and the largest European woodcut master, who raised it to the level of true art. The first art theorist among Nordic artists by practical guidance on fine and decorative art in German, which promoted the need for comprehensive development of artists. The founder of comparative anthropometry. The first European artists who wrote an autobiography. Marcantonio Raimondi (about 1480 - about 1534) - an Italian jeweler of the Renaissance of the High Renaissance, the greatest master of the sixteenth-century reproduction engraving. Born in Bologna. Studied at the artist and jeweler Francesco Scquarcho. In 1505, he creates the first independent garvey. Already by 1511 he had created about 80 prints. In 1510 Raymond moved to Rome. In Rome, where he approached Raphael, his classic sculptural style finally developed. In 1524, for some time, he was sent to play by Pope Clement VII (for making engravings on erotic themes). In 1527, during the robbery of Rome was captured by the Spaniards and, as a result of payment of redemption, went bankrupt. He died in Rome in poverty.
