Author Biography
Alevtyna Kahidze (born 1973) is a Ukrainian artist. She was born in Zhdanivka. Works in various media: drawing, video, installation. Graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (2004); Jan Van Eyck Academy, Netherlands (2005). Received the 1st prize in the competition for young curators of the CSM at NaUKMA (2002); Kazimir Malevich Award (Polish Institute in Kyiv, 2008). Lives and works in the village Muzychi, Kyiv region.

Alevtina Kakhidze's series "About the unreal cosmic speed of OASK" depicts the events that took place on December 9, 2013, and preceded the well-known events on the Maidan.

This comic, as the author herself calls it, unfolds the chronology of the events of December 9, hour by hour, from the filing of a lawsuit by Serhiy Timchenko that barricades are obstructing him and violating his right to walk on the Maidan, to the satisfaction of this lawsuit by the judge of the OASK. And the comic ends with Judge Ablom buying an apartment for UAH 2 million, already two weeks after the trial.

Alevtina Kahidze devotes a lot of time to Maidan affairs, and since 2016 she has been constantly going to courts and sketching the processes related to these events.
