Zadorozhny Ivan Valentin (1921-1988) - painter, graphic artist and monumental. Born in Rzhyshiv, Kyiv region. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR since 1960. In 1951 he graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (now the Ukrainian Academy of Arts) in the studio of Konstantin Yeleva, Anatoly Petrytsky; In 1952-55 he worked as a teacher. From 1946 participated in All-Ukrainian, All-Union and foreign art exhibitions. Personal - posthumous in Kiev (1991, 1993-2002), Rzhishchev (2000). On the 95th anniversary of his birth (Rzhyschev, 2016), the Museum of T.G. Shevchenko (Kiev, 2017), Union of Artists (Ivano-Frankivsk, 2017). The author of painting paintings, monumental paintings, posters, stained glass windows, carvings on wood, tapestries, sculptures. He worked in the "harsh" style, realism, neo-folklore. Separate works are stored in the NHM, Berdyansk (Zaporozhye region), Gorlivka (Donetsk Oblast), Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro), Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Khmelnytskyy oblast in Sumy, DTG (Moscow). From 2002 to NaUKMA works at the Memorial-Art Museum of Ivan-Valentin Zadorozhny. The author of the stained-glass windows of the upper station of the Kiev funicular. Laureate of the State Taras Shevchenko Prize in 1995 (posthumously) for a series of works from 1964-1988.
