Lunev Sergey (1909-1978) - Ukrainian painter, watercolorist. Born in Kekyne village. Sumy region, In teachers family. Heyday of the artist accounts for 60-70 of XX century. He studied at the Art Studio at Sumy Art and History Museum (1927-1928); Kharkiv Art College (1928-1932) in Department of Painting under A. Menes, A. Kokelya,V. Ryftina , M. Shcheglov. He worked in Sumy Drama Theatre (1927-1928). The large number of solo and group exhibitions (from 1939) in Ukraine and abroad. Director of creative artists watercolorist "By Yenisei" (1966) and "Dnepr" (1971). Creative trip to Hungary (1974) and France (1977). He lived and worked in. Kharkov. Extraordinary personality in history of Ukrainian art. He was one of those artists whose figurative and plastic innovations have become a serious step in development of Ukrainian watercolor painting.
