Nivinsky Ignatius (1880-1933) is a Russian painter, graphic artist, theater artist and architect. He was born in Moscow into a family of furniture and other furnishings suppliers. He graduated with a gold medal from Stroganov College (1898). He taught at Stroganov College (1898-1905) and VHUTEMAS (1921-1930). He worked mainly as an engraver (since 1912), one of the founders of the Union of Engravers (1918), a member of the association "Four Arts". He has worked extensively with architect Valentin Budovsky, directors Eugene Vakhtangov and Konstantin Stanislavsky. He lived and worked in Moscow.
