Steinberg Moses Aronovich (1883-1967) - Ukrainian painter. Born in Kiev. Participated in spring and autumn academic exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Kiev, and Kharkiv (1909-1910). He was a member of the TPKH (in the XIX-XX centuries in Odessa). Graduated from the picturesque department of the Kiev Art School (1912). Visited workshops of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1918). He wrote articles on art in the magazines "The White Guard" (1919-1921), as well as printed manuscripts on art of a later time. Graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Arts (1922). Graduated from Kyiv Art Institute (1927) and received the title of artist-teacher. Associate professor at the department of drawing "KHI" (1933-1941). The Department of Art Affairs organized a personal exhibition of M. Steinberg, but it did not take place due to the war (1941). Worked in Kyrgyzstan (since 1941), was there in the Union of Artists. He returned to his homeland (1945). Member of the NSCU (1938). Professor KHI of painting and drawing (1945). Head of the Department of Artistic Discipline at the Kiev Engineering and Construction Institute (1945-1950). Participant in numerous exhibitions. The works of the artist are stored in more than 35 art museums and galleries of the former Soviet Union (Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum at the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), etc.).
