A retrospective exhibition of paintings by well-known Ukrainian artist Mikhail Deyak opens in Kiev

On January 31, at the exhibition hall of the auction house "Golden Section" (Kiev, Pervomaisky St., 4) an exhibition of paintings by contemporary artist Mikhail Deyak will be opened. The exhibition will feature selected works from the private collection of co-owner AD "Golden Section") Mikhail Vasilenko, who became the first among collectors to collect paintings by the artist.

Some of the impressive creations of Several have been sold at auction of famous Ukrainian and international auction houses. At the end of 2014, his illustrious work of Klitchko Brothers Emotion was sold at Phillips for $ 11.8 thousand. In 2015, the picture from the Stools series was bought at the same auction for $ 16 thousand, and already in 2017, Water's work went away for $ 19 thousand. According to the edition of Art Investment, Mikhail Deyak entered the TOP 20 list of young contemporary artists from the CIS countries, and ranked 7th among the most promising artists of Ukraine according to Forbes. In 2016, at the international SCOPE Basel Art Fair, a personal exhibition of Mikhail Deiak was held.

"Some paintings are in the funds of the National Art Museum of Ukraine. In addition, many famous Ukrainian and world collectors decorated their collections with works of art by a promising author, who is constantly developing, experimenting with materials and techniques", - says Mikhail Vasilenko.

The exhibition will feature 21 paintings, most of which will be seen by the public for the first time. Works are written in different genres from 2006 to 2011.

A special place in the exposition is the landscapes of Kiev, Lviv, Odessa and native for the artist of the Transcarpathian region, as well as several works written during the author's creative trips to Venice and Prague.

"While still a student, Mikhail Deyak was highly distinguished among the artists of his generation by a special sense of color, inheriting it mentally from the corsets of the Transcarpathian art school - Adalbert Erdeli, Joseph Bokshaya, Andrei Kotsky. Today he has achieved great heights in his work, as his constant participation in large-scale projects, demand for the art market and a wide circle of admirers of his talent are said", - adds Mikhail Vasilenko.

It is possible to visit the exhibition until February 17 from Monday to Saturday (11.00-19.00), Sunday is a day off.

Entrance is free.
