April 18 in the Kyiv gallery "Lavra" (st. Ivan Mazepa, 17) will be an auction "Ukrainian, Russian art of the XX-XXI centuries." The auction house "Golden Section" will be the organizers. The works of such classics of Ukrainian painting as Valentina Tsvetkova, Maria Primachenko, Mykola Glushchenko, Viktor Zaretsky and others will be put up for auction.

Most of the auction collection will be paintings by Ukrainian and Russian artists of the Soviet period, but it will also include sculpture and graphic works. All painting schools in Ukraine (Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkov, Lvov, Transcarpathia, Crimea, Donetsk), as well as the most significant schools of Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg) will be widely represented at the exhibition. In total, 157 works will be presented at the auction.

Among the works put up for auction are iconic works by Ukrainian masters of painting: "Vladimir Hill" by Nikolay Glushchenko (90-120 thousand dollars), "Labor City" by Viktor Zaretsky (70-100 thousand dollars), "Spring Morning" by Valentina Tsvetkova (40-50 thousand dollars), "Arrived" by Viktor Ladeyshchikov (28-40 thousand dollars), "Young man with a ball" by Igor Grigoriev (20-25 thousand dollars). In addition, among the top lots of the auction are the works of such classics of painting as Maria Primachenko, Tatiana Yablonskaya, Sergei Shishko, Joseph Bokshai, Petr Stolyarenko and others.

Mikhail Vasilenko, art critic, director of the Golden Section auction house: “The main principles for selecting works for this auction are the name of the artist in the context of the art of the Soviet period and the high quality of the work. Our task is to show the mastery of the artists of the national painting tradition and give a cross-section of the Ukrainian academic art of the XX-XXI centuries. in its development. In our opinion, almost each of the works presented at the auction can become not only the pearl of any collection, but also a profitable investment.”

The artists presented at the auction received recognition not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. In particular, paintings by Tatyana Yablonskaya, Nikolai Glushchenko and Sergei Shishko were sold at the world-famous Sotheby's and Christie's auctions. In addition, the works of most of the presented masters are kept in the collections of the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Moscow State Museum of Fine Arts. A. S. Pushkin, as well as in almost all museums of Ukraine.
