Author Biography
Prymachenko Maria (1908-1997) - Ukrainian folk decorative painting master. Honored Artist of Ukrainian SSR (1970), laureate of Shevchenko State Prize of Ukrainian SSR (1966). People's Artist of Ukrainian SSR (1988). Prymachenko applies ornamental compositions to wall paintings, embroideries, ceramics, illustrations to fairy tale books. Prymachenko uses floral and animal motifs which are traditional to the Ukrainian ornaments. Her works are stored in museums in Ukraine and the world. Works of Maria Prymachenko add value to each collection.
