Author Biography
Skuharieva Maryna (born in 1962) - Ukrainian artist, one of the representatives of “The New Ukrainian current” in art. Born in Kyiv. She studied in the Dahestan art school named after Dzhemal (1977-1981); Lviv state institute of decorative and applied arts among art textile division (1982-1988). Together with her husband O. Tistol received a prestigious fee of the Swiss fund Christoph Merian Stiftung. In the beginning of 90s she took part in the group “String-willed edge of the national post-eclecticism” (established by V. Rieunov, O. Tistol and Y. Bystrov). Worked in Moscow (1989-1993) where she took active part in the activities of the art joints “Furmanny lane” and “Triohprudny lane”. Lives and works in Kyiv.
