Vladimir Afanasyev (b. 1949) - Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. He graduated from art-graphic department of the Odessa Pedagogical Institute (1971). Founder and director of Artsyz art school in Odessa region. Professor of the highest category. Member of local, national, all Soviet-Union and international exhibitions (since 1970). Author and publicist of books on art.
