Chichkan Arkady Leonidovich (1947 - 2017) is a Ukrainian non-conformist artist. He was born in Kyiv in the family of Honored Artist of the USSR, Professor of the Kiev State Art Institute Leonid Ilyich Chichkan. He graduated from KHI (1972), where he studied with T. Yablonskaya and V. Ulyanova. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1973). Participant in the legendary Exhibition 13 (1979), which was a passive resistance of Ukrainian painting to socialist realism. He has participated in numerous art exhibitions. Works by A. Chichkan are presented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
