Author Biography
Volodymyr Kirillovich Pinigin (1941-2015) - Ukrainian graphic artist. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1974). Studied at the Hermitage art circle. Subsequently he moved to Lviv (Ukraine) (1958). Graduated from the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute. Ivan Fedorov, specialty "Graphics" (1965). Vladimir Pinigin worked in book and easel graphics, poster, design, scenography, painting. Subsequently, he moved on small forms of graphics in techniques of etching, etching, dry needles, intalia, monotypes (1985-1999). Illustrated artistic books, mainly by science fiction writers such as Jules Verne, Herbert Wells, Ray Bradbury (Dandelion Wine and Martian Chronicles), Arthur Clarke, Clifford Siemak, Pierre Bull, Stanislaw Lem, Alexander Belyaev, Karel Chapek and Basil Berezhnoy. Other authors include Alexander Pushkin, Valentin Kataev, William Saroyan, Ernest Hemingway, Yaroslav Gashek, Boris Nekherda, and others. The artist has participated in about 120 group regional, republican, and international exhibitions (since 1963). Has conducted 12 personal exhibitions in Ukraine, Russia, Belgium, Holland, Germany, USA, Poland. He was awarded with awards and diplomas of international exhibitions.
